ZEEP in Peru could mobilize USD 10 billion in investments
Private Special Economic Zones (ZEEP) in Peru could mobilize investments exceeding 10 billion dollars within a five to ten-year horizon, according to projections by AVLA Peru. This development would boost the demand for insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises, expanding the penetration of the insurance sector, which currently represents 2% of GDP, compared to Colombia (3.3%) and Chile (4.5%). Walter Fernández, general manager of AVLA Peru, highlighted that the deployment will raise investment standards and the country's perception as an investment destination.
