United States Consolidates Its Position as the Main Destination Hub for Ecuador's Non-Oil Exportable Offer
The United States has consolidated its position as the main destination for Ecuador's non-oil and non-mining exports, concentrating 26% of the total value of trade flows in the first four months of 2026. According to Fedexpor, the sector represented 62% of the country's total exports with a marginal increase of 0.3% towards the North American market, driven by shrimp, bananas, and fresh fruits. The optimization of port processes and land logistics will be decisive in capitalizing on new agreements with South Korea, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates.
