K Line Begins Land Trials of Seawing Kite System for Ships
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) announced that third-party reviews of the automated Seawing kite system, developed by its subsidiary Oceanicwing S.A.S. in France, were successfully completed by Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore and Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK). Oceanicwing continues land and sea experiments, moving towards practical use around 2027.
