Trump Signs Interim Deal to End War With Iran, Reopen Strait of Hormuz
President Donald Trump signed an interim memorandum of understanding with Iran on Wednesday evening to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which had been closed for months. The deal includes immediate sanctions waivers for Iranian oil and a $300 billion development program for Iran, with nuclear talks and further negotiations scheduled for the next 60 days. Brent crude has plunged below $80 a barrel following the agreement, though the deal has faced criticism from Republican allies who argue it concedes too much to Tehran.
