Carnival Holds One-to-Two-Ship Newbuild Cadence Into the 2030s
Carnival Corporation will maintain its one-to-two-ships-per-year newbuild cadence into the next decade, according to President and CEO Josh Weinstein during the company's second-quarter 2026 earnings call on June 23. The company placed orders for three new Princess Cruises ships scheduled for delivery in 2035, 2038 and 2039, bringing its total orderbook to 10 ships. Alongside disciplined capacity growth, Carnival plans to focus on modernization programs across its existing fleet, including the AIDA Evolution program and Holland America Evolution.
