Cristián Ortega will assume the role of General Manager of Terminal Marítima Mazatlán (TMAZ) starting September 1, 2026, as reported by Hanseatic Global Terminals Latin America (HGT).
In this regard, HGT stated that "Cristián Ortega will succeed Mauricio Ortiz in leading Terminal Marítima Mazatlán, ensuring continuity in the development of operations in Mexico. He holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from Universidad del Desarrollo and an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey."
"He joined the group in 2011 as a Trainee Engineer and subsequently served as Head of Projects and Strategic Planning for Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI). Since January 2018, he has held the position of Director of Administration and Finance at TMAZ," it added.
Meanwhile, Ortiz will take over as General Manager of Florida International Terminal (FIT), located in Port Everglades, United States.

TMAZ is a multipurpose terminal connected to the west coast of Mexico and the southern United States via the Mazatlán-Matamoros highway.
The port facility's activity focuses on products from the automotive, agricultural, fishing, forestry, and mineral industries. "It is among the main vehicle ports in Mexico, serving major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)," HGT specified.
