Port of Long Beach Acquires 15 Zero-Emission Tractors for Pier C
SSA Terminals, at the Port of Long Beach, acquired 15 human-operated, American-made, zero-emission yard tractors, along with associated charging infrastructure and a reconditioned tugboat. The equipment was funded through the Swift program, which is endowed with funds from CalSTA's Port and Freight Infrastructure Program (PFIP). The tractors were manufactured by Orange EV in Kansas City, Kansas, as part of a $37.8 million investment in zero-emission equipment for Pier C.
