Ukraine Strikes Sanctioned Tanker in the Black Sea
Ukrainian forces reported striking the crude oil tanker Fina A (109,637 dwt) overnight in the Black Sea. The vessel, sanctioned by the EU in May 2025 and the UK in July 2025, had its AIS signal switched to "not under command." The strike is part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to impact Russia's oil exports, which saw seaborne oil products exports down 15 percent in the first half of June to about 3.3 million tonnes, with diesel exports from Primorsk down 18 percent.
