Avocados, metallic minerals, gunpowder and explosives, palm oil, and grapes are among the export goods with the highest movement through the Port of Chancay, with a total exported value reaching 1,343,821,072 dollars since the start of its operations.
According to official information, avocados account for 37% of the declared value of exports moved by the port terminal, followed by metallic minerals with 29%, gunpowder and explosives with 6%, palm oil with 5%, and grapes with 3.6%.
The main destinations for these exports are China, the Netherlands, Spain, and Chile.
The Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal has moved 425,427 containers since the start of its operations. Of the total, the transshipment regime accounts for 47% with 200,046 containers, while imports reach 32% with 137,647 containers, and exports 21% with 87,743 containers.
In the case of imports, the total value amounts to 2,323,187,407 dollars. The goods with the highest movement, according to declared value, are vehicles (27%), machinery (17%), cereals (8%), and electrical equipment (8%).
The main countries of origin for these goods are China, which accounts for 75% of the total imported, followed by Argentina with 10% and the United States with 4%.
Regarding the transshipment regime, the main countries of origin for the goods are China, Chile, Mexico, and Ecuador, while the most important destinations are Chile, China, and Japan.
Among the transshipped goods, salmon (14%), pine wood (8%), and metals (8%) predominate, with the main trade route connecting China, Peru, and Chile.
Additionally, 3,517,819 tons of loose cargo have been moved through the Port of Chancay. Of this volume, 71%, equivalent to 2,514,227 tons, entered under the import for consumption regime, mainly corn, cement, and other products.
Loose cargo represents 27.5% of the total cargo movement registered at the port terminal.
Imports made through the Port of Chancay generated a revenue of 1,037 million soles during 2025. Meanwhile, between January and May 2026, the accumulated revenue amounts to 603 million soles.
