COSCO Shipping Lines launched the CHX3 maritime service, connecting the Peruvian ports of Paita and Chancay with Caldera, Costa Rica. The new route strengthens Pacific port integration and connections with Asian markets.
The service offers a weekly connection and links Paita, with its refrigerated cargo infrastructure, to Chancay and trans-Pacific routes to Asia. This alternative seeks to reduce transport times, logistics costs, and risks associated with the transfer of perishable products.
The expansion of this network strengthens Chancay's role as a connection hub between South America and Asia. It also generates new alternatives for the movement of fresh fruit and other export products, favoring the efficiency of regional logistics chains.
