Upon visiting the "El Tortugario" Ecological Center, located in the town of Cuyutlán, staff from the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) stated that supporting this space for environmental protection and conservation should be a priority for the entire community.
"In other words, it's not just a commitment from the authorities, but a form of citizen solidarity. By supporting its activities, we contribute not only to the care of a species but also to the preservation of our environment," highlighted the port authority.
The visit was made at the direct invitation of the person in charge of El Tortugario, with the aim of strengthening ties to promote environmental conservation and sustainable tourism in Colima.
During the visit, the collaborators toured the different recreational and preservation areas. The commendable work carried out by the center in favor of caring for various species was highlighted, as well as its positive impact on promoting environmental awareness among children, young people, and visitors in general.
As a result of this meeting, ASIPONA reported that it will work on evaluating projects that can be integrated into its institutional environmental care and conservation programs.
Finally, the Administration calls on the population of Colima and national and international tourists to visit and support these types of facilities that strengthen sustainable tourism in the state, inviting them to experience the various ecotourism offerings of the place.
