Corpus Christi Channel Closed After Vehicle Falls into Water

The U.S. Coast Guard closed the Corpus Christi navigation channel after a vehicle fell into the water on Wednesday, July 1. By the afternoon, there was no movement of tankers carrying crude oil, refined petroleum products, or LNG. At least 11 oil tankers were docked and another 11 were in the anchorage area. The port handles nearly half of U.S. crude oil exports.
