National Maritime Association of Panama Highlights Appointment of New Canal Administrator
The National Maritime Association of Panama (Mapa) congratulated the appointment of Ilya Espino de Marotta as the new administrator of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), making her the first woman to hold this position since the transfer of the interoceanic waterway to Panamanian hands 26 years ago. Espino de Marotta has four decades of service at the ACP and has participated in fundamental projects for the development and modernization of the Canal.
