Port of Gothenburg Begins Construction of Liquefied Biogas Plant
The Port of Gothenburg has started construction of a liquefied biogas plant owned by Nordion Energi, which will allow biogas producers to access new markets in shipping, heavy transport, and industry. According to Carolina Wistén, Director of Customers and Gas Network at Nordion Energi, the plant will drive the transition towards 100% renewable gas. It is expected to be completed in early 2027 and operational before the end of the year, with a capacity of approximately 50 tons of liquefied biogas per day.
