Port of Santa Marta Carries Out First Export of Colombian Bell Peppers of the Season to the United States
The Port Society of Santa Marta carried out the first export of Colombian bell peppers to the United States, destined for Miami. Smitco, the port's container operating subsidiary, participated in the export operation of Agro Peppers S.A.S., a company producing premium bell peppers from Valle del Cauca. The cargo is shipped on the weekly direct service to Miami operated by Seaboard Marine, consolidating the Port of Santa Marta as a benchmark in diversifying agricultural cargo to international markets.
