CMA CGM Pledges $800 Million Funding to Kenya's Mombasa Port

CMA CGM announced an $800 million investment in Kenya's Mombasa Port, signed at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi with President Emmanuel Macron in attendance. The funding will upgrade two Mombasa Container Terminals as the port handled 2.11 million TEUs last year, recording 5.5 percent growth. The investment aligns with Kenya's transition to a landlord port model and CMA CGM's expansion of logistics and maritime capacities in East and Central Africa.
