How Port Everglades is Meeting the Travel Momentum Moment
Port Everglades and Visit Lauderdale are showcasing their role as a global cruise hub at major industry events in May 2026. The port, home to nine cruise lines and 40 cruise ships, is projected to welcome more than 4.7 million cruise passengers this fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2026, and 4.9 million in FY2027. Recent infrastructure investments include an expanded convention center, elevated roadway, and the new 801-room Omni Fort Lauderdale hotel purpose-built for cruise-related stays.
