ZPMC Launches First 38,000-Ton Multipurpose Vessel for Chipolbrok

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) launched the first of four 38,000-ton multipurpose vessels at its Qidong Marine Engineering facility for the Chinese-Polish joint shipping company Chipolbrok. The unit measures 182 meters in length, is equipped with three 350-ton cranes, and features energy efficiency characteristics, including a 1,000 kW battery system that allows for zero-emission docking operations. The second vessel was launched on May 17, while the third and fourth completed keel laying in March.
