Port Everglades tallies $48.3b economic impact

Port Everglades generates approximately $48.3b in economic activity and supports nearly 300,000 jobs throughout Florida, according to a new study by Martin Associates. The fiscal 2025 report captured energy-related impacts for the first time, resulting in a 72% increase in overall calculated economic activity compared to fiscal 2024's $28.1b. Cruise activity reached a record 4.7m passenger movements, up 21.7%, while cargo volumes hit 1.167m TEUs, rising 17.9%.
