Callao Heading for a New Record: South Pier Projects to Exceed 2 Million TEUs by 2026
The National Port Authority reported that the South Pier of the Port of Callao is projected to handle over 2 million TEUs by the end of 2026. The terminal, operated by DP World, has 10 gantry cranes that move 28 containers per hour, with an installed capacity of 2.3 million TEUs, consolidating Peru as a strategic player in international maritime trade.
