Grimaldi Christens New Vessel Grande Svezia

The Grimaldi Group held the christening ceremony for the vessel Grande Svezia at the Port of Wallhamn, Sweden. Delivered in December 2025, the ship joined the Pure Car & Truck Carrier (PCTC) fleet, which is prepared for ammonia as an alternative carbon-free fuel. Built by China Merchants Heavy Industries of Jiangsu, it is 220 meters long, has a capacity of 9,000 CEU, and features 5 MWh lithium megabatteries, allowing for fuel consumption reductions of up to 50%.
