Vessel Boarded by Unauthorized Personnel While Anchored Northeast of Fujairah Port

A fishing research vessel was boarded by Iranian personnel while anchored northeast of Fujairah Port, United Arab Emirates, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The vessel is believed to be the Honduras-flagged Hui Chuan. The incident occurred 70 kilometers northeast of Fujairah on May 14 at 05:45 GMT. The vessel has lost contact and is no longer transmitting its position via the Automatic Identification System (AIS).
