Damen Delivers Fourth Combi Freighter 3850 to Reederei Bernd Sibum
Damen Shipyards Group delivered the fourth Combi Freighter 3850 to Reederei Bernd Sibum following successful sea trials in Shanghai. The vessel Maria Sibum will travel to Europe loaded with cargo. All four vessels will be equipped with Econowind ventofoils at Damen Shiprepair Harlingen, anticipated to reduce fuel consumption by a further 12.5%. The vessels feature efficiency-enhancing solutions partly funded by German Government subsidies, including shore power connectivity and a hybrid PTO/PTI system enabling zero-emission sailing in port.
