Argentine Pork: Exports Grow 156.8% in Value
Argentina's Secretariat of Agriculture of the National Ministry of Economy reported that between January and May, 7,645 tons of pork and by-products were exported for USD 10,037,000, with increases of 91.2% in volume and 156.8% in value compared to the same period last year. Production grew by 11.8%, reaching 354,588 tons, driven by a 9.7% increase in slaughter, which reached 3,720,893 heads.
